This perspective of the Washington Memorial viewed from the Vietnam Memorial is one that most people don't see because they immediately go straight down to visit the names on the Vietnam Memorial. Taking the time to explore each memorial offers their own unique perspectives that most people miss. As you can see, one side of the Vietnam Memorial points directly to the Washington Monument which is no mistake. I like to think that those remembered in Vietnam Memorial are are pointing to him as their guide post for whom they served in this life and the next.

I am a San Diego based landscape and wildlife photographer, born and raised in Stockton, Illinois ( the 'S' is - not - pronounced ). I am one of the many that came to San Diego for a visit and just kept delaying my plans to go home. Although my heart is still pulled to the rural and slower lifestyle of growing up in farm country, my life is in and around San Diego. Over the years, I've grown to appreciate the big city lifestyle, but I always crave getting outside, discovering new places, reaching for those places that remind me of my youth, and to find connections with folks that are also from Northwest Illinois.
