The Blue Angels is the United States Navy's flight demonstration squadron, with aviators from the Navy and Marines. In this Photo, the Blue Angels' demonstration pilot(s) are flying the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet, which typically sees more than 70 shows at 34 locations throughout the United States each year to an average of 11 million spectators per show season. The Blue Angels also visit inperson more than 50,000 people in a standard season, typically at schools and hospitals.

The mission of the United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron is "To showcase the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach."

I am a San Diego based landscape and wildlife photographer, born and raised in Stockton, Illinois ( the 'S' is - not - pronounced ). I am one of the many that came to San Diego for a visit and just kept delaying my plans to go home. Although my heart is still pulled to the rural and slower lifestyle of growing up in farm country, my life is in and around San Diego.
