Description
This 12-pdr. smoothbore Howitzer and early model 10-pdr. Parrott Rifle cannon are among the many that are on display within the woods that represent various locations of Confederate Battery's that made up Ruggle's Battery Row. More than 60 cannons were gathered from across the battlefield and placed in line between Duncan and Review Fields, all unloading their fury on the Union troops defending the Hornet's Nest. This was the largest cannonade ever assembled on American soil prior to the Battle of Gettysburg.
